Xbox 360 on My monitor

i have a 360 now and im going to be getting a dell and its going to come with a Dell E227WFP, and it has two inputs DVI and D-sub, since i really dont know much about monitors but can i play my xbox 360 (premium) onit, if not what kind of converter will i  need.

I also use my monitor for high def gaming (not rich enough to buy a fancy tv) but instead of buying a fancy $40 cable I got a 3rd party cable off Ebay for something like $15. It works fine and I%26#39;m gaming in HD:)
im really sorry about not knowing about this stuff but you gave me link to VGA to HD/AV, so is the DVI port HD then???
