COD2& BF2

i have a Cod of duty 2, and BF 2. the EVGA 7600GS i know is a so so card, and that recommending the GT would be better. how well will the 7600GS run these games. 1 gb ram, amd 64 3500. COD2%26amp; BF2
any thoughts?COD2%26amp; BF2
It will run them perfectly fine. I can run both of those games well with a 6800XT. You might want another gig of RAM for BF2, but COD2 will be just perfect.
yea it will run fine
what settings u think id be on. some ppl say the ran it on High with 1 gb ram. i read the review for it. he got about 30 FPS with AA maxed. turning it off will surely improve with high?
RAM is a BIG issue with BF2 but I don%26#39;t know much about that card.
why does BF 2 use so much ram is it cause of the Map size? that long as* loading screen.?

It has a lot to do with map size and the amount of textures there are. If you turn textures (and also view distance) down, you'll lessen the ram usage. Either way it's still pretty memory intensive. I have run it with 768mb of ram, and it runs, but it doesn't like it.

As far as COD2, turning AA off will give you a decent jump in performance. However, if you can average 30 fps, your single player will be pretty playable. You obviously want something closer to 60 for multiplayer, but single player - that's fine. Also pay attention to the resolutions...a lot of those reviews use 1600x1200...which is completely unnecessary, since 1280x1024 is the max resolution on a lot of monitors anyway and looks just great.
ok cool, i wonder how quake wars will run. i hope its not big as BF games. but it seems like it. thanks for the answer
No problem. Sorry I didn't come back sooner...I got myself suspended for a spell ;)
