on-board sound question [56k]

I need to disable my onboard soundcard, because i think it may be causing a conflict with my Creative Soundcard.How do i go about doing this?I looked in device manager and found something called Legacy Audio Drivers but there is no option to disable this function.  Do i have to disable it through the BIOS at startup? Is this safe, and if so where in the BIOS is it located ?on-board sound question [56k]
Yes you have to disable it in the BIOS,i think you can find it under advanced/device configuration or something like that,and yes its safe unless you go around changing things randomly.on-board sound question [56k]
inside my computer it has a connector that goes onto the onboard sound components, i had 2 unplug that and then plug it into my soundcard for my soundcard to work

Those are part of the Creative drivers to ensure compatibility with older games (DOS and Win95).
