Will DDR2 667 work in this DDR2 600 motherboard?

I%26#39;m hoping to be building my first computer and I was wondering if DDR2 667 would work in this motherboard.  I%26#39;m on a tight budget and don%26#39;t want to spend the extra money if I don%26#39;t have to.  The memory that I want to put in it is 240-pin DDR 667 (PC5300), if it helps.  Thanks in advance. Will DDR2 667 work in this DDR2 600 motherboard?
yes it will workWill DDR2 667 work in this DDR2 600 motherboard?
yes it will work
I wouldn%26#39;t say yes so easily. In most cases, it will clock itself down to work in the motherboard but sometimes it can also cause errors. If you want to be safe, look for RAM that is the speed specified on your motherboard. If you can%26#39;t then try your luck and hope it works fine. Usually does but again, it can cause errors.
that motherboard has 400\533\667\800 memory settings
Asus and Abit make AM2 mother boards that are $10 bucks more and are better. To answer your question, Yes that RAM will work if you use a brand that your board supports. I use DDR2 667 in an Abit mobo that goes up to DDR 800 with no problems because I use Kingston RAM and my board supports Kingston.
