everything looks good but your processor might bottleneck your gpuhow is this rig?
what does bottleneck mean?
Its means that your computer will only run as fast as your slowest component. You have to pair your cpu and graphics card. In your case you have a really fast graphics card and an average cpu, so your cpu would be holding back your graphics card and not letting it ''stretch its legs'' so to speak.
For the price you%26#39;re paying for that X2 4200 and that nForce 590 board you could get a Gigabyte GA-965P DS3 board and a Core 2 Duo E4300 (I think you save $10 actually) - which would perform considerably better. Also, pony up the $10 to double your hard drive space - buying a 7200RPM drive with less than 160GB of space just isn%26#39;t a good idea right now. You can also drop the second optical drive unless you really need two for some reason - save yourself another $30 right there, with which you could bump up your processor to the E4400, or get a bigger hard drive.Lastly, that case just strikes me as being rather ugly - not to mention it comes with a power supply, which you%26#39;re buying separately anyway. The NZXT Apollo is around that price and looks much better (and still flashy) in my opinion - the Raidmax Smilodon or the Sunbeam Transformer would also be decent choices.
alright checked all the stuff u listed. thanks alot here is a updated list. i meant to list one DVD drive not two sorry. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16817189014http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820227124http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813128042http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819115013http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16832116196http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16827152079http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16811146025http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16822144415http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814130082thanks for the case choice, i like the Apollo
Looking very good now - a bit of overclocking on that processor should help out the GPU - nothing too serious like some people here do, I%26#39;d say 2.6GHz should be more than enough.
thanks, hey do have a guide online to find how to setup a bios. thats about the only thing i dont know.
I like my XION...lol
