how bad are onboard video cards?

i have a onboard 6100 geforce. i try to play BF 2, it runs on all low settings. it runs good for 1 30 mins, then crash to the desktop, is it casue the card simply cant handle it?how bad are onboard video cards?
You have no video card and BF2 requires either a geforce 5700 and up or an ATI 8500 and up. You can get a video card that is rather cheap. if money is the issue, which will run BF2 very nice.how bad are onboard video cards?
is that why it crahs huh? iam planing to get a 7600GS with a Sparkle PSU. for like 130.
yeah your not meant 2 play games with on-board grapchis your lucky if the game even starts up , the 7600gs is good but if ya have a PCI-E board probbly better to get an 8600 just depends on how much money ya got really.7600gs plays anything thats out now, as long as you play 1024x768 low- medium settings.
Oh god dude integrated video, that is the worst ever, even just running programs can make you lag.
the video memory is probably shared with your RAM which is the stupidest thing ever
yeah it is haha, thats why ram is not really rated at 1 gb.   iam going to order the stuff on the weekend, hoping newegg puts some new deals out.
The game says FX5700 but you can slip in with an FX5200 and it will still work a bit choppy on lowest settings. Someone did a bad job when it comes to making the game run well on lower hardware.......... why can%26#39;t every developer be like Crytek and VALVe?
if it can run, then at least it shows the video adapter can handle it. It may be an issue with drivers and/or the game needing to be patched up?
1 of 2 things 1- Your video chipset lacks adaquate cooling for gaming, so after half an hour it shuts down to protect itself2- You have shared video memory with system memory, and it runs out of room
l actually liked the 6100.i played oblivion with it for 15 hours.cs,sc ran perfect also

They do suck but they arent quite as God awful as people make them out to be.
get a 7900gs onboard video is rubbish
There not ment to run games lets just say that.
lol yeaqh iam getting a new card.
my 6150LE ran BF2 on low med I got a 7600GT now :D
I%26#39;m not even going to try to run BF2 on my x200 :%26#39;( Mines integrated until I buy a new psu and an 8800 gts >: )
lol i dont know why they put those useless cards in their. prolly save moeny :( they could atleast give a coupon off of a video card when u buy a card.

But us gamers practically need them to enjoy what we like (games)

Some of the most creative and innovative games come from indie developers.
